Hormones - Women's Health Questions Answered

Dr. Vincent Bellozi discusses hormones and answers many women's health questions concerning the topic of hormones and more. The big picture is what hormones are going to work best for you during menopause. He also discusses depression, especially post-partum depression after having a baby and how your hormones are involved with these issues. It is all an inter-connective web. Your hormones are directly related to every part of your body.

Women must have vitamin D. The sun is the number one source for vitamin D but you don't want too much sun so you might consider taking a vitamin D supplement. You have to look at the whole picture in restoring your hormones to the right levels and it isn't easy. You have to take steps in the right direction to get your body back in balance with nature.

More Womens' Health Questions

womens health questionsAs I progressively come of age I have more and more womens' health questions. For example, why do women have to get a pap smear every year even if they are not sexually active? Another question I have is why are mammograms only available for women who are forty years old or older? I have given myself numerous breast exams but have not been able to tell the difference between the harmful lumps and the normal lumps that are supposed to be there! But so many times, I have felt lumps and thought, "oh my goodness--is it good or bad?" So, I think I should get a mammogram just to be on the safe side at least. Another question I have is, why would breast lift surgery be considered a "cosmetic" surgery. Women who get breast lifts are getting them because their breast are so heavy that they are weighing them down and hurting their back. This is an important health decision, not a cosmetic decision. Right?

Womens Health Questions-No Such Thing as a Dumb Question!

womens health questionsHey moms, sisters, aunts, grandmas, and friends! Do you ever wonder about your body, your health, your hair or skin? Do you ever want any more information about all those medical statistics you've heard about and read about regarding the health of women? I have a ton of womens health questions! I wonder why there are lists of risk factors for breast cancer, but then many women who have breast cancer don't even have any of those risk factors in their lives.

I always wonder why women of different ethnicities are more or less susceptible to various types of diseases. Why do some women tan and some just burn? How can we keep up with all the many facets of being a woman: from pregnancy, to regular pap smears, to keeping up our calcium intake, to keeping our weight down?

Now, I know we are all human, but women seem to have a lot more to think about when it comes to our health. After all, some of our moms-to-be need to keep their health in good standing for the goodness of a little guy/gal growing inside of them. Their breast milk has to be healthy, their weight has to be good, their blood has to be nourished, and let's not forget about all the emotional side effects that go along with pregnancy. Oh, our emotional and mental states are other womens health questions in of themselves! Thank God for women's health magazines and books!
